Heat played well defensively during the 1st three quarters but it ended by the 4th. They managed to pressure the Suns and keep them under just 44 points in a quarter. Well known that Suns is a very fast-paced and high scoring team, Heat did well defensively. But then again. "It doesn't matter whether you start or don't. It's how you finish it." Steve Nash proved this as he took over in the 2nd half and scorched the Heat.
If heat can contain Nash well enough, they can probably win this one, I thought..
Yes, Chalmers did that well and Heat forced 3 turnovers from Nash in just the 1st quarter.
However, I forgot the fact then if you can't pass, you can always score on your own.
Nash scored 25 of his 30 points in the 2nd half, including 4 treys.
He's just too good.
Stoudamire added 16 points and 11 boards. Hill also came out strong, 10 points and 12 boards.
That's the scary part about an all-star point guard.
When he can shoot and pass well, you just cannot help thinking whether you should guard him or try and intercept his passes.
Strong performances from Heat were Richardson [18 points, 10 rebounds]
and Haslem [10 points, 13 rebounds; 3rd straight double-double]
The rest of the team struggled pretty much with foul trouble.
Also, they shot poorly in the 4th, it was so hard to watch.
They just kept missing treys after treys.
The hard-to-watch moments were Wade attacking the basket.
Sure he could drive but it was difficult for him.
Every moment he went inside, 2-3 bodies or even 4 would be there to obstruct him.
How in the world can you even stretch your hand out to release or nab a foul?
It was hard.
Suns just came out stronger than the Heat in the 4th.
With Nash doing the offense and the rest of the cast working on the defense
The Suns just scorched us.
Let's get back on our feets and learn from it.
Next up, @ Verizon Center against the Washington Wizards.
They are also a team trying to get back from a slump with "Agent Zero" Gilbert Arenas back.
Let's nab that next win.
