NBA 08-09 Season: LA Lakers Highlights:
Game 12 - VS Chicago Bulls (19th Nov 2009)
- Score: 108 - 93 (Win)
- Lakers: Bryant 21pts, 8 assts, 9 rebs.
Gasol 24pts, 13 rebs.
Bulls: Joakim Noah 12pts, 15 rebs, 4stls. - Comment: Gasol finally comes back for the Lakers and back strong with 24 points and 13 rebounds. Kobe at the same time provided near a triple-double. Lakers simply cruised to a victory with this one.
- Highlight Reel!:
- 1) Kobe dishes a simple bounce pass backwards to Odom. Then Odom delivers a sweet behind-the-back pass to Bynum for the finish.
- Score: 101 - 85 (Win)
- Lakers: Bryant 26pts, 7 assts, 6 rebs.
Bynum 25pts, 9 rebs. Gasol 15 pts, 7 rebs, 6 asts.
Thunder: Ibaka 11 pts, 13 rebs, 5 blks. - Comment: The Lakers cruised to another victory as they topped the Thunder. Thunder shot poorly under 40% from the field but no worries, in couple years or so I am sure we will be seeing the Thunder making their first playoff appearance.
- Highlight Reel!:
1) 1st quarter: Being forced into the corner by James Harden, Kobe releases the shot from behind the backboard and swished it in. Lucky or not, he still made it fall.
2) 1st quarter: Kobe drives and released a nice up-and-under reverse lay-up. Sweet.
3) 1st quarter: Bynum loses the rebound but Kobe collects the ball back and flipped it up with his left hand to beat the buzzer.
4) Shannon Brown with a nice alley-oop from Farmar.
5) Powell dished a nice no-look to Brown for the finishing one-handed jam.

NBA 08-09 Season: Miami Heat Highlights:
Game 11: @ Atlanta Hawks (18th Nov 2009)- Score: 90 - 105 (Loss)
- Beasley 21 pts, 9 rebs.
Hawks: Johnson 30 pts.
Smith 16 pts, 14 rebs, 7 assts.
Horford 16 pts, 12 rebs. - Comment: Yet another disappointing loss for the Heat. O'neal was fouled out and Wade was in a shooting slump. Joe Johnson just burnt us this time.
- Score: 113 - 120 (Loss)
- Wade 30 pts, 5 rebs, 8 assts, 2 stls.
Chalmers 30 pts, 3 stls.
Beasley 21 pts, 12 rebs.
Raptors: Bargnani 24 pts, 10 rebs
Bosh 29 pts, 12 rebs, 4 blks.
Tukoglu 19 pts, 8 asts.
- Comment: Despite Heat's late comeback effort, Raptors held on with the win. Still, we can see clearly that Wade was back on track. Chalmers shocked me with 30 points. Beasley came strong with a double-double but still fouled out in the end.
- Highlight Reel!:
1) Arroyo finishes the pick-and-roll with Anthony and Anthony slams down so hard that he fell on the floor flat.
2) Wade spins around DeRozan under the basket and slams down hard. Nice!

- Score: 102 - 101 (Win)
- Wade 31pts, 6 rebs, 3 blks.
Chalmers 12 pts, 9 assts.
Beasley 17 pts, 9 rebs.
Hornets: M. Thornton 24 pts.
West 13 pts, 9 rebs. - Comment: A tight one and Haslem closes the match with an off-balanced shot. Precisely why i really like Haslem, he is another one of our clutch players. And once again we can see clearly how aggressive Heat played, not just Wade but again from Chalmers and Beasley.
Highlight Reel!:
1) Wade drives by Devin Brown for a vicious one-handed slam.
2) Chalmers throw a nice alley up to Wade for the finish.

Last but not least.
I just want to say that I feel that Coach Spoelstra's approach is still good.
He may not be as experienced and some of his decisions are questionable.
But the fact that he stressed defense and fundamentals so much is really good.
For my case that is, because i'm leaning more towards the defensive mentality instead of the offense.
What Heat really needs now is for the whole team to be consistent.
When they play well defensively, they must make sure they hold on till the end because the tendency that opposing teams come back strong in the 2nd half is very common, especially for the Heat.
I also like the aggressiveness of Chalmers and Wade. Beasley needs to have alot more confidence because he is a talented played, no doubt.
They may not be ready now but we can already see the talents in them.
James Jones and Quentin Richardson are both sharp shooters and good defenders.
Daequan Cook is still developing but already pretty deadly from the arc.
Joel Anthony is pretty defensively but more work to be done on the offense.
Haslem is probably performing his best in his career after coming off the bench.
O'neal is our wildcard and is scoring well. But he needs to pull down more boards and block more shots.
Jamal Magloire is really a good rebounder but hasn't been playing much.
I really like Dorrell Wright after seeing how he played when he was still healthy.
He has great lenghts, can be a solid performer who can dribble the ball and also block shots.
But his injuries had caused him to miss out so many games that it has become difficult to catch up with so many other players. I really hope he develops more and stay with the heat.
I like how Heat is developing and if hopefully we sign another solid veteran coming june, they can become contenders again with so many talents on the team.
For now, let's just focus on the season and use all the opportunities to improve.
